100 SLPM Flow

Description

Proficiency test for flow meter calibration at 100 SLPM. Demonstrate competence with your laboratory flow procedures and measurement uncertainty.

How this PT is scored

Each reported value is compared with the Lake Balance reference value using the En number, which accounts for both your expanded uncertainty and ours. Results are available in the customer portal. See Flow proficiency testing, all calibration PT programs, and our ISO/IEC 17043 certificate & scope.

Sample instructions

To complete this PT you will need a flow standard set to mass flow in slpm and an air gas supply. When you receive the test flow meter marked FLOW-115 please allow 24 hours before the test to acclimate to room temperature.

  1. Connect the flow meter marked FLOW-115 to your flow standard and air supply.
  2. Set flow conditions on your flow standard to 1 atm and 21.11 °C.
  3. Set flow to 25 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
  4. Set flow to 50 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
  5. Set flow to 75 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
  6. Set flow to 100 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
  7. Set flow to 50 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
  8. Email results and your uncertainty budget to proficiency@lakebalance.com
  9. After you've received your completed test results return to Lake Balance Calibration Solutions.

  11. To set gas type:
  12. Press Menu (bottom right) and then Basic Config (bottom left).
  13. Press Gas (top left) scroll to recent and press Select (bottom right).
  14. Use Up and Down buttons (top left & center) to scroll to Recent and press Select (bottom right).
  15. Use Up and Down buttons (top left & center) to scroll to Air and press Select (bottom right).
